3D Seismic Interpretation
This course provides a practical understanding of 3D seismic structural interpretation in order to identify prospect locations and prepare a dataset for a TD-Z conversion. It also aims to give participants an example of practice in interpretation of sedimentary structures, on the basis of seismic data analysis and seismic attribute interpretation.
Recommendation: First experience on Seismic Interpretation.
SRC* Feasibility Analysis and data preparation
Mastering feasibility studies can save lots of time and money to your company when taking decisions concerning SRC techniques, delivering the keys for taking best decision as possible according to available dataset, time and money requirements.
Additionally, this knowledge is also useful to supervise the SRC studies done by other companies.
During this training both well and seismic data will be analysed on real data, in order to decide which SRC workflow to use (AVO, Seismic Inversion…).
This training is recommended in as a starting point for any kind of SRC training and/or study.
SRC* - Seismic Post-stack Inversion
This training provides a practical understanding and know-how to perform Seismic Inversion on Seismic data. 2 real case-studies are used, one on carbonate and the other on clastic environment. More common workflows will be explained and tested, as well as inversion results QC’s. Basic knowledge about Seismic Inversion will be delivered along the training. Well adapted to geoscientists willing to start performing Seismic Inversion.
A hands-on AVO using a real dataset will be performed. Synthetic AVO cases will be performed in order to analyse AVO effect at well locations. More common workflows will be explained and tested.
SRC* - Seismic Pre-stack Inversion
A hands-on pre-stack inversion using a real dataset will be performed. Special emphasis will be given to data preparation. More common workflows will be explained and tested, as well as inversion results QC’s. Ideal to geoscientists willing to start performing Pre-stack Seismic Inversion.
SRC* - Seismic stochastic Inversion
A hands-on stochastic inversion using a carbonated real post-stack dataset will be performed. More common workflows will be explained and tested, as well as inversion results QC’s. Basic knowledge about Seismic Inversion will be delivered along the training. Ideal to geoscientists willing to start performing Stochastic Seismic Inversion.
*SRC ( Seismic Reservoir Characterization), also called "Quantitative Geophysics" or "Reservoir Geophysics" aim to detect and quantify lithology, porosities and fluid content using seismic amplitudes and well information. They mostly use either Seismic Attributes, AVO or Seismic Inversion techniques.
